Getting started

You can analyze traffic sources, keywords, and device data when you use Spider AF with Google Ads. To do this, you must set up a tracking template.

By setting up tracking at the account level, you can track all campaigns and ad groups together.

Account-level setup

  1. In Google Ads, click Settings and then Account settings in the left menu.

  2. Click Tracking.

  3. If there is already text in the Tracking template field, please contact us.

  4. If the Tracking template field is empty, copy and paste this text into it:

    {lpurl}?network=google_{network}&placement={placement}&keyword={keyword}&device={devicemodel}&saf_src=google_{network}&saf_pt={placement}&saf_kw={keyword}&saf_dv={devicemodel}&saf_cam={campaignid}&saf_grp={adgroupid}&saf_ad={creative}&saf_acc=[InsertGoogleCustomerID]

  5. Click Save.

  6. Enable Auto-Tagging if not enabled

  7. Check the box and save.
